The journey starts in the morning as you drive out of Palermo to Erice, the historic hilltop town. The drive will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and along the way, you will be treated to spectacular views of the coastline and countryside. On reaching Erice, take a guided tour of all the archaeological sites in the town, walk along the charming cobblestone streets, shop in small local boutiques, and take in some of the most beautiful views in Sicily. Spend a while looking at quaint little courtyards between narrow streets. The best thing to do is locate vantage points from where you can see the Egadi Islands and Trapani town. You’ll feel that you are moving through ages, surrounded by an ageless beauty.
