Description
Situated in a historic district of Rome, in close proximity to the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, the Lateran Palace formed a fortified stronghold where the Popes, for nearly a millennium, served as the authoritative representatives of the Christian faith while simultaneously managing the intricate political matters associated with the city and its relationships with other European nations.
Participants will have the opportunity to appreciate and marvel at the beauty of sixteenth-century frescoes, intricate baroque tapestries, and a wide array of antique works spanning from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century as they stroll along a walkable surface measuring approximately 3000 m².

Samuel's Hall
The room takes its name from the wall decorations that have as their subject the biblical events of Samuel and were made by Cesare Nebbia and Giovanni Guerra.
David's Hall
The room takes its name from the gilded stuccoes in which the vault is divided, presenting five episodes from the life of King David, from whose lineage Joseph, the putative father of Jesus, is descended.
Elijah's Hall
The vault of this room depicts five episodes from the life of the prophet, who, as narrated in the Book of Kings, performed many miracles that anticipated those of the Lord Jesus Christ.
