Take in this five-mile stretch of rugged shoreline marked by thousands of dry stone walls holding up terraced vineyards and little medieval fishing village perched on the rocks; add to that the brilliant colors of sea and sky and you begin to understand the paradise that is Cinque Terre. Look at some of the best views in the country, both from the water and on foot as we take in the national park by boat and walk along some of the prettiest cliffside trails—an easy combination for a great day. Spend free time in one of the pretty villages—perfect opportunity for tasting local foods (lunch not included), a dip in a cool swim, or do a bit of shopping. Weather and sea levels permitting, this will be an unforgettable boat trip to the Riviera, allowing great photo opportunities to commemorate the day. This tour offers that rare ‘one-day-only’ chance to take in the Cinque Terre as well as a couple of nice breaks from the crowded villages. Exiting high on a headland over the sea, in the course of an easy walk through seaside vineyards where few seem likely to be met, you will have a view of most of that beautiful coast. You will then come to amphitheaters: natural amphitheaters full of green grapes spread towards the ocean and wide sky, and it is here that you will also learn about the different ways of picking grapes, with those steep monorails running through the vineyards, and the local ways of wine making.
