Your footsteps mark the path on Europe's fiery giant, observing how the scenery metamorphoses with every step upwards; it's an awe-inspiring sight that signals your immersion in Etna's natural embrace. Here you'll experience unforgettably beautiful landscapes and learn about the unique flora and fauna of this area in the Parco dell'Etna. When you reach the base of Mount Etna, a guide will be there to lead you up the volcano trekking route. Ascend to view some of the seven lateral craters from the 1865 eruption. They form a peculiar "buttons shapes" effect: cones lined up in series along the eruptive axis as though buttoned together. A peculiar scene awaits at Mt. Etna's peak after this climb. Experience the unique ambiance of the location, surrounded by pyroclastic materials— scoria, lapilli, and volcanic "bombs"— in a spectacular natural setting. You will be awestruck by the presence of exquisite tree species such as Betula aetnensis: a birch variety typically native to Northern Europe but only found in Sicily on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. Explore nature at its best within this distinctive environment. Sicily's Mount Etna is one of the world's most famous volcanoes and Europe's highest peak south of the Alps. Hiking up this mountain can be a challenging but rewarding experience. On your way up, you may be able to enjoy stunning views (weather permitting) ranging from Calabria all the way to Taormina — with Stromboli sometimes visible! Upon descent from the hike, a Sicilian lunch awaits you at the base of Etna. This meal will consist of three courses along with beverages: a perfect way to replenish yourself after a day's hiking effort!

I have a proposal to continue with the tour and not be caught in the rain. Or we manage to do the tour with our vehicle until it stops raining and the roads are safe for a proper tour; if rain doesn't stop, then it would mean that the whole tour will be carried out from inside the safety and comfort of the vehicle. In view of the current running experience, it is our understanding that your expectations may not have been met. As such, we are offering you the following options to relay to our staff when checking in: Proceed with the tour hoping for better weather conditions — PARTIAL activities or NO activities because of rain. There are two options for customers. The first one is to decide to go ahead with the tour in anticipation of better weather and full acknowledgment that there will be no refund or discount. We will try to host you on another day, subject to the weather. If you would like to reschedule your experience, please contact our Booking office so that they can let us know about availability and new date for the tour. You can select a different experience if no appropriate date or time is found for rescheduling. This would be subject to availability, either of an experience equal in value or one with a higher value (paying only the difference) if eventually you do not get an equal or less valuable experience. Item three on the list is a credit named Rain Check, which is equivalent to the amount paid by clients and can be availed in the future or at any other time based on availability. The Rain Check refers to a voucher given to the client that holds transferable rights— it can be sold or passed on to others for future use within a year from issuance date. This voucher holds value that could potentially be redeemed for any other tour organized by our company. Your safety and comfort are important; we require proper rain gear for guests opting to "ride in the rain." Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departs, so you can evaluate the weather and select your outfit. Unfortunately, those who fail to show up will not receive a refund.
