One Palace, many collections
The ancient nucleus of the Palace dates back to the late 16th century, but the whole structure has undergone numerous interventions and restorations over the centuries, which have made it today a building perfectly integrated in the city of Palermo.
Today, on the ground floor there is an Auditorium, a cooking school and a restaurant with a rich collection of majolica (the Sicilian ceramic section of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries is very important), as well as the Fondazione Sicilia's archaeological collection with many unique pieces; on the first floor there is a numismatic collection, a philatelic collection, the very special Cuticchio collection of the typical Sicilian puppets (the so-called "pupi"), a collection of sculptures from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries (including a wax sculpture by Giacomo Manzù) , and finally the historical Library of the foundation with more than 50 thousand volumes.
Particularly striking are the environments of Mount Santa Rosalia, a rare example of wooden architectural composition, destined to host temporary exhibitions.
An environment that can satisfy all tastes and all kinds of interest!
