Description
Check out the amazing art and architecture of Florence's famous symbol
Among the pieces that this long exploration of the Cathedral in Florence brings together are: Crypt of Santa Reparata, the clock by Paolo Uccello, Vasari's frescoes, and Badninelli's marble choir. This visit is one of the most extraordinary journeys to make in the realm of Christianity; if these works do not take your breath away, then the next part of the tour surely will.Discover Florence in a way most people can't
This is the kind of experience that can only be offered by something reaching up to heaven itself. Climbing up the staircase seems worth it, zigzagging through dark and enclosed spaces that have been off-limits to tourists for centuries, because the most amazing prize waits at the end: the panoramic view of the city offered from this church’s roof. One would ask how many steps actually go up the Duomo in Florence. A total of 153 steps rise to the terraces, and then 310 more take the traveler up to the summit of Brunelleschi’s Dome. Alas, this effort is worth doing at least once in your lifetime only because you can view this city from nearly a hundred meters above the ground! Please note that the Spanish tour does not include Duomo Terraces. Instead, it involves a visit to the Duomo Museum, admission with guided exploration of the Cathedral, and then a very long tour of Brunelleschi's Dome. So rest assured that you will be able to appreciate the architectural and artistic marvels of the landmarks of most of Florence’s famous sites, in each case under the expert guidance of your Spanish-speaking.
